I have some clients who prefer not to be featured on social media. While Andrea and Paul felt the same, they were happy for their flowers to be shared.
Barnsley House (now the Pig Hotel) in the pretty Cotswold Barnsley Village was their chosen venue. Renowned for its stunning gardens designed by Capability Brown, they wanted to fully enjoy the outdoor beauty, opting for an al fresco ceremony at the picturesque temple, followed by an outdoor reception.
An outdoor ceremony is always a bit nerve-wracking for a florist, as we don't know what the weather will be like until the morning. Luckily, the weather cooperated, allowing us to set up a stunning cascading flower column at the temple, with romantic vintage candles and flickering tealights adorning the steps.
The reception tables were overflowing with flowers, complemented by candelabras, bud vases, candlesticks, and the most stunning chandeliers, creating the perfect finish for an unforgettable outdoor wedding breakfast. Although the rain made a brief appearance during setup, by the time the guests took their seats, all was calm, and Andrea and Paul’s dream of getting married in an English country garden had come true.
